Malik Amer Salam
Vice President

Amer Salam, Vice President of Marketing Association of Pakistan associated with MAP since 1994. He was elected as a Council Member for the period of 2010-2013. During 2011-12, he became part of the Executive Council and served MAP, as Joint Treasurer. In 2013-14, Amer became the Joint Secretary and proved his worth by promoting MAP on National Level. He also contributed in different Marcons and in Marcon 2014 he was the Chairman Sponsorship Committee. Amer holds the MBE and MBA degrees from the University of the Punjab & University of the Philippine and got the Diploma in “Successful Marketing Techniques” from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in 1999. Malik Amer Salam has a successful command on academic affairs, as he is the Visiting Faculty Member of “Brand Management” at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore. He is currently on the board of Icon Communication Pvt. Ltd and has been active in a number of organizations over the years. Moreover, Amer got advertising Diploma from Paris School of Advertising & Business Management-France in 2008. Earlier in his Career, Amer was Country Sales & Marketing Manager of Global Telecom, a high-technology Telecom company & launched GT Calling Card under his leadership. In 2003, he took over as a Director Sales & Marketing of CITICALL and built it into one of Pakistan's leading payphone company.

Khaliq ur Rehman
Council Member

Mr. Khaliq ur Rehman completed Master’s degree in Administrative Science from the Punjab University with distinction in 1967. He joined Pakistan Burmah Shell in the sales department in 1969. In 1971 he joined Jaffer Brothers Pvt. Ltd., to set up their marketing network at the grass root level to develop capability for handling the production of their fertilizer plant being established at that time. However before its completion the Govt. of Pakistan Nationalized the key Industries including Fertilizer. Mr. Rehman then joined Punjab Agriculture and Development Corporation in 1973 where he served for 5 years as Deputy Director Sales and Evaluation. In January 1979, he joined Fauji Fertilizer Company, the largest manufacturers and marketers of fertilizers in Pakistan. During his 27 years stay in the company he headed various functions of marketing.

He has also participated as a marketing consultant in various Fertilizer Policy Studies organized and funded by USAID, Asian Development Bank, World Bank and United Nations as well as in domestic projects. He is a founder member of Marketing Association of Pakistan Lahore Chapter. He has been on the executive council for many years and headed the Lahore Chapter as Vice President in 1995, 1996, 2002, 2003 and 2011. He was the Chairman of the International Marketing Congresses held in Lahore, MARCON 1996 and MARCON 2003. Currently he is also the Chairman of Board of Governors of Lahore Marketing Institute.

Syed Imran Hasan
Council Member

Mr. Hasan is a dynamic & visionary leader with very successful track record. His core competencies are Strategic Business Planning, Management & Operations, Marketing, IMC Designing, B2B & B2C Business Management. He has over 24 Years of diverse Industry experience  i.e. Automation, Hi-tech & Consumer Products, Commercial Projects & Services, locally & internationally. He has worked with large Groups in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman & Pakistan in various capacities. Before establishing his own business, his last professional assignment was with ARY Group as Global Vice President-Projects. He has participated in International Exhibitions, Professional Seminars & Conferences, World-wide.

AT Business Synergy International, he is the Chief Executive Officer, running a successful Consulting Business offering varied Business & Marketing Services to diverse Industries. He is also involved in overseeing the Trading Arm of the Group.

Mr. Hasan holds dual Master’s ie Marketing & English (Literature). He has also attended various Business Management Programs from Leading Business Schools.

He was the Captain Squash Team-Karachi University, Headed Different Committees at Professional Forum at Dubai, UAE. He has also Conducted various activities representing Pakistan Consulate at Dubai Shopping Festival. He  has served as the Joint Secretary of Marketing Association of Pakistan, Lahore, Member – The Indus Entrepreneur, Co-Convener Telecom Committee of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries, an active Rotarian and Core Committee Member of“ Lahori Golfer’s League” at Lahore Gymkhana Golf and Country Club.

Ali Asrar Aga

Council Member

Ali A. Aga has recently retired from ICI Pakistan Ltd where he was a Director on the Board as well as Vice President of ICI Pakistan’s flagship Soda Ash Business. He also served as Chief Executive of ICI Pakistan Limited and Chairman of ICI Pakistan Power Gen Limited during the transition period of ICI Pakistan’s ownership from Akzo Nobel BV Netherlands to YB Group in Pakistan. He has over 35 years of multi industry experience in a wide range of management positions in Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations, and General Management in ICI Pakistan as well as other multinational and national Companies. Ali Aga has also served as a Director on the Boards of Pakistan PTA Ltd, Akzo Nobel Pakistan Limited, ICI Power Gen Ltd and Pakistan Society for Training & Development. He is a Certified Director and Accredited Trainer on Corporate Governance by IFC and a visiting Faculty for Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance for their Director’s training program. Ali holds an MBA degree with double majors in Marketing and Operations Management and Bachelors in Chemical Engineering. He has attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and has been a guest speaker at various local and international conferences and seminars.

Dr Shahid Zia
Council Member

Dr. Shahid A. Zia is currently associated with the High Achiever’s Development Program (HADP). Of the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) an initiative of Mr. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. the Chief Minister, Government of the Punjab. Prior to this he was working as General Manager, The Bank of Punjab (BOP) and Head of Human Resources and Marketing Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) Dr. Zia, has twenty five years of experience in Capital Markets, Banking Industry and Education and is a PhD Scholar, having diversified degrees like M.B.,B.S., MBA (Finance) M.A. (Political Science) He is an Adjunct Faculty Member of Government College University, Kinnaird College University, Beaconhouse National University, University of Central Punjab where he teaches M Phil students. He is Board Member of the Financial Analyst Program (LIFA), International Research Association, U.S.A. Member of the Editorial Board of the Research Journal of Commerce, Economics & Social Sciences published by the Faculty of Commerce, University of Central Punjab. He is Member of the Steering Committee of Akhuwat Health Services, Life Member SOS Children’s Villages of Pakistan and Marketing Association of Pakistan, Member Pakistan Society of Development Economists, Management Association of Pakistan and Worldwide Fund for Nature. He has served as President, Pak-American Youth Friendship Association, President Leo Club of Lions International District 305 Pakistan, President of the All Pakistan Students Welfare Federation, Joint Secretary, Pakistan Judo and Karate Federation, Joint Secretary Lahore Squash Rackets Association, Joint Secretary Marketing Association of Pakistan, Lahore Chapter. Dr. Zia frequently appears on TV, writes for National English dailies, speaks at International and National Conferences and is an International Trainer.

MS Ashba Kamran
Council Member

Ashba Kamran has been working on concept of serving society since since 2002. Her role as Social Entrepreneur is eminent as her FRESH Nursing Facility is a home like care medical service provider. This project is her inspiration from her mother which she lost due to lack of care and attention needed in Hospital. There are many success stories to her credit as she has been working on learning difficulties as well for the past ten years. Her experience of educating, grooming and rehabilitating her own dyslexic son motivated her to help hundreds & thousands of children dropping out from mainstream. Her projects Green Meadows Schools, Reading Clinic, Pakistan Association for Difficulties in Learning are helping children to acquire education with skill attainment and rehabilitation through partner MNC’s. She has proved to the companies that success does not lie in degrees only but basic education, training and skills. All the ventures she started are unique and one of their kind in Pakistan. She is member of MAP & TIE She is a certified Audiblox tutor. She is managing her personal and professional life successfully.
